Flight Schedules Based on the Island of Cyprus, Lion Travel Services offer all Lion Resorts members flights across the globe whether scheduled or charter flights. Excursions Lion Travel Services specialise in Excursions on the Island of Cyprus, whether it’s exploring the beautiful island with a hire car, a jeep safari across the Akamas, a fun day for all at a waterpark, to a romantic sunset cruise. Excursions Across Cyprus Troodos & Kykkos - Monday & Thursday Visit the famous Kykkos Monastery, followed by a visit to the Tomb of Archbishop Makarios 3rd. After your stop for lunch you will be taken to the picturesque villages of Omodos & Platres. Nicosia & Lefkara - Tuesday Visit Nicosia, the only divided capital in the world! You will be taken to the green line & the Ledra Gate checkpoint, followed by a visit to St.Johns Cathedral, then on to Metaxa Diamond Centre. After this, it’s time to have a spot of lunch in a shaded taverna. In the afternoon you will visit Lefkara, a village renowned for its lace making and traditional Cypriot life. Limassol & Currium - Thursday Traveling from Pafos passing the dramatic coastline you will come to Currium, an amazing Greek-Roman city overlooking Episkopi Bay. Here you will see the house of Eustolius, the theatre and much more. Next you will travel on to Limassol and visit one of the largest wineries where you can, of course, sample some of the islands finest wines. Lunch will be eaten by the Medieval Castle. On the way back to Pafos a stop will be made at Aphrodite’s Rock – so don’t forget your cameras! N. Cyprus (Kyrenia) - Tuesday & Friday After 30 years, the border to the Turkish occupied side of the island is open. This is a day trip not to be missed you will visit the Abbey of Bellapais, and then go across the border to the Famous harbour in Kyrenia. Have some lunch in one of the fabulous tavernas then a chance to have a stroll around and take in some truly amazing scenery. As you will be crossing the border, please remember your passports. Nicosia (Shopping) - Friday This trip is a typical shop till you drop day out. Firstly a quick stop will be made at the famous green line. Then you will go into the heart of Nicosia and have hours to spend in all the designer shops or the quaint boutiques, each with many bargains on offer! Pafos Villages & The Baths of Aphrodite - Saturday Your first stop will be at Geroskipou where you will see the local delicacy Cyprus Delight being made. Next a quick stop at the village of Panayia, then on to the incredible Baths of Aphrodite with time to splash yourself with the Goddess of Love’s rejuvenating waters! After this you will stop at the gorgeous fishing village of Latchi, here you can relax on the beach, or have some lunch in one of the many fish restaurants. On the way back you will stop at some Akamas villages, a lovely day out taking in some of the spectacular scenery of Western Cyprus. Safaris Across Cyprus Are you the type of person who enjoys getting out and exploring the island, but you want a bit of adventure and plenty of laughs along the way....? ... Well, we have just the thing for you. Why not try out one of our unforgettable Jeep Safaris, with guides who have an amazing knowledge about the island and can guarantee to give you one of the most memorable days of your holiday. AKAMAS SAFARI This safari takes you to explore the unspoiled coastline and countryside of the Akamas Peninsula. Passing through the banana plantations, your first stop will be at the Sea Caves followed by the Avakas Gorge with cliffs towering 30 meters above you. You will then drive on to the magnificent Lara Bay where the green turtles still come to lay there eggs. Around mid afternoon a stop will be made in Latchi for a traditional Cypriot lunch with village wine. In the afternoon you will then drive through the rest of the Akamas onto the baths of Aphrodite, where legend has it the Goddess of Love Aphrodite bathed here. On your drive back down to Pafos a short stop will be made at a Reptile Park where a guided tour is given. Troodos Safari Your day will start by driving through the unspoilt Pafos Forest into Stavros tis Psokas where you will see the Muflon (mountain Goat) in its natural habitat. On your way back down you will visit the popular villages of Omodos & Platres where you will have an interesting guided tour around a small winery followed by wine tasting. You will have plenty of time to wander round the villages at your own pace and experience traditional Cypriot living. Pafos Cruises “Jolly Roger” Pirate Cruise - Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday Cruise along the coastline of Pafos for approximately one hour, then anchor for a buffet lunch and a glass or two of wine, before the amazing Pirate show starts with games, music, and even Limbo dancing. Of course there will be a chance to walk the captain’s plank and jump into the water too! On your return sail back to Pafos harbour you will be partying all the way with the pirates! This is a day the whole family will enjoy! KID’S 2 -12 GO FREE!! & RECEIVE A GOODIE PACK WITH EARING, EYE PATCH & BANDANA “Lazy Day” Full-Day Cruise - Available Every Day Except Tuesday This relaxing cruise leaves Pafos Harbour and sails along the coastline sailing into either Coral Bay or Timi Bay where you will drop anchor. Here you can do whatever you wish, you can enjoy a cool dip in the clear blue waters or simply laze on the top deck and soak up the sun. A buffet lunch with wine and soft drinks is also included in the price. “Lazy Day” Half-day Cruise - Available every day except Tuesday This short cruise will depart from Pafos harbour at 10.00 cruising along to Coral Bay, where you will have time to sunbath and have a swim. Open sandwiches are served on board with wine and soft drinks. The cruise will anchor back into Pafos harbour at 14.30. Romantic Sunset Cruise - Available every day except Tuesday Complete your day by going on a gentle sunset cruise along the Pafos coastline. Sit and drink chilled local sparkling wine and nibble on a finger buffet, while watching the spectacular sun slip beneath the horizon. Take plenty of photographs and record your memories forever, this is a cruise not to be missed. The Wave Dancer The Wave Dancer is the only yacht with shallow water anchorage in Cyprus, allowing guests to step directly onto the beach. You will anchor at Coral Bay and Lara Bay where you can swim off the side into the shallow waters, or stroll along the beach. Onboard facilities include a full restaurant service from the onboard chef at the galley ensuring the best food on your trip, freshly prepared on the day.
