It has been brought to our attention today that a company calling themselves Express Leisure Group have been contacting members of Vacation Clubs, including Lion Resorts Vacation Club and apparently attempt to defraud people of money to sell their memberships.
The specific pitch used to our members is that “Lion Resorts is going under and you need to sell your membership” They then offer to do this on your behalf however you would need to pay their costs (usually amounting to £900.00) up front.
This is a typical ploy of fraudsters, who will take your money and not provide any services.
Should any of our members wish to sell their membership, please check the company first to make sure they are legitimate. Any reputable resale company will not charge you an up-front fee but will take their payment as a commission after the sale has been completed.
We would like to assure you that Lion Resorts have never and will never give or sell your information to any third party, other than those associated with your agreement (RCI, Trustees, Barclays Partner Finance) without your prior consent. We would also like to confirm that despite what “Express Leisure Group” may say, Lion Resorts Vacation Club is not “going under” and your holidays remain secure.
